Bamaga Tavern is the most northerly mainland pub in Australia - only a 30-minute drive to Pajinka, the Tip of the country. Our Tavern is the perfect place to sit back, relax and soak in that tropical atmosphere.

Conveniently located, our well-stocked bottle shop and drive-thru sell a wide range of basic beers, spirits and wine. We’re also equipped with EFTPOS and ATM facilities.

Regina’s Lounge & Bistro
Join us at Regina’s Lounge – affectionately named after the Tavern’s longest-serving manager – and treat yourself to our delicious pub favourites, or grab a cold drink while you wait for your takeaway order to be prepared.
Bamaga Tavern’s bistro was renovated in 2020 so guests can enjoy a freshly-made pizza or a hearty snack from the comfort of our modern lounges. For a heartier meal in our dining area, you can’t go past our classic pub fare such as a chicken parmigiana or burger, with vegetarian options also available.
While you’re visiting the bistro, check out the colourful historic mural of Bamaga family canoes used historically by Saibai Islanders, which was painted by our local secondary school students.
Open for lunch and dinner (see below for up-to-date trading hours), Regina’s Lounge is the ideal place in Bamaga to visit with friends and family.

Recently renovated and modernised, Bamaga Tavern is well equipped to host your next function. Talk to our experienced staff about staging wedding receptions, birthday parties, conferences or fundraisers – we can make your next event that little bit more special.
Alternatively, if you want to keep things simple, you’re welcome to cook your own meal on our free barbeque located in the beer garden.
Regina’s Lounge is a stylish, relaxing event space at the Tavern, which also has a big TV screen making it ideal for meetings or training sessions. Catering is also available.
